What's Been Happening in Chicheley
Restricted due to Covid
The Coronavirus Lockdown resticted but did not prevent Chicheley residents from celebrating the 75th anniversary of VE Day.
The Chicheley Volunteers (aka Chicheley Home Guard) produced an excellent commemorative newsletter and delivered copies to all residents.
Many people decorated their homes with flags and bunting. It was a warm and sunny day to sit in gardens drinking tea (or other beverages), listening to wartime music and chatting with neighbours. Others walked round the village greeting passers-by and looking at Mike Kettell’s excellent display of models of WWII vehicles, all at the required distance.
