June to September
Courtesy of My & Mrs Cris Tarrant, Summer Tea was served in bright sunshine on the afternoon of Saturday 6th June in the gardens of Chicheley House. Being Chicheley, there was the traditional surfeit of delicious cakes, not to mention superb strawberries. "Thank You” to everyone who helped organise this thoroughly enjoyable event.
The annual “Starbeque" was held with a full house in the Village Hall on Saturday 20th June. Unfortunately ,wet weather prevented the event being held outdoors, next to the telescopes. After typically excellent Chicheley food and drink, Pierre Girard gave a fascinating presentation on astronomy, including many of his own photographs. It is amazing what you can see in the heavens above Chicheley if you know where to look! Many thanks to Pierre and Christine, the Milton Keynes Astronomical Society, and their volunteers, for organising such an informative and enjoyable evening.
ChitChat coffee mornings were held in the village hall twice per month throughout the summer, providing an opportunity to catch up with neighbours and enjoy the delicious cakes and biscuits.
Volunteers stayed at St. Lawrence Church throughout 9th September to welcome cyclists visiting Buckinghamshire churches to raise funds as part of the Bucks Historic Churches Trust Bike Ride.
