Chicheley’s annual Remembrance Sunday Service was held at the Wayside Cross at 11:00hrs on 13th November 2016 to remember the men of our village who gave their lives in World War 1.

The cross is located in the centre of the village, in what must have been a peaceful spot when it was dedicated in 1920.  Unfortunately, the minute’s silence is nowadays disturbed by the noise of traffic speeding through the village on the A422. This does not detract from the respect shown by the many people who always attend this special service.
