Since the introduction of the speed limit through Chicheley, it has become significantly safer and easier to access the A422 from Bedlam and Hall Lanes. Traffic noise has also reduced noticeably.

Unfortunately, passive speed monitoring has shown that a small number of inconsiderate motorists risk the lives of Chicheley’s residents by exceeding the speed limit by a large margin.

The police are now actively monitoring vehicle speeds and stopping speeding motorists. We thank the police for this, especially as they are “speed trapping” at all hours of the day and night.
