Chicheley celebrated the safe and successful completion of harvest in the village traditional.

Harvest Festival service was held in St. Lawrence Church on 11th October. The produce donated to decorate the church was then auctioned the next evening. This not only generated funds much needed for the upkeep of the church, but also ensured that everyone had sufficient stocks of locally produced jam and pickles to see them through the winter.

The Harvest Supper was held on 17th October, and everyone enjoyed the usual Chicheley surfeit of superb food, not to mention excellent company.

Everyone expressed their approval of the new carpet that has improved acoustics and warmth in the hall.
