What's Been Happening in Chicheley
Traditional Wall Returned to Its Former Glory.
One of the limestone walls surrounding the churchyard started to subside due to age, but assisted by burrowing rabbits.
Thanks to fundraising events and generous donations, the wall was rebuilt and will last for a few more centuries.
It is very expensive to maintain a 1000 year old Grade 1 listed building. The efforts of a small number of volunteers who take care of the church and raise funds for its upkeep deserve thanks from everyone in the village who benefits from the church. Donations are always welcome, and will be used efficiently to keep the church open.
