Chicheley Village Hall

Despite the threat of a referendum on Scottish Independence, the annual Burns Night supper was held as usual in a packed Chicheley Village Hall on 21st January.

The Ladies of the Village Hall Committee had prepared enough Haggis, sausages, “neeps and tatties”, potatoes and onion sauce for several villages. Rev. Mandy Marriott gave the traditional Address to The Haggis, and the Selkirk Grace.

In typical Chicheley style the main course was followed by a wide choice of desserts, and a selection of Scottish cheeses.

David Roberston accompanied some traditional (and one less so) Scottish songs on the melodeon.

It was another great evening of fun, friendship and good food, and thanks are due to all those who contributed to making such an enjoyable evening possible.
