The arches and north aisle of St Lawrence church were built in 1325.   To celebrate the occasion, tea and cakes were served in the church yard during the afternoon of Saturday 21st June.   

Around 50 people participated, from Chicheley and neighbouring villages.   After light rain at the start of the event, we had glorious sunshine for the rest of the afternoon.  Everyone had an enjoyable time with great food, and a good sum of money was raised to help our church last at least another 700 years.

Many thanks to all those who organised the event, donated food, sparkling wine, carried the chairs and tables, and to Bobby Sparshot for the superb cake. 

Throughout the afternoon, recovered and remastered videos of the Nativity plays from 1997, 1998, and 1999 were shown inside the church.
