Jubilee Concert - Letter from MK Chorale

I write to tell you about Crowning Glory, a concert to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, in Milton Keynes Theatre on Sunday June 5th at 7:30 pm, in the presence of Lady Howe, the Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire. The concert will raise funds for Willen Hospice through a retiring collection, and any profit from the concert will also go to the Hospice.

Presented by Milton Keynes Chorale with the support of three other choirs and Alina Orchestra, the concert will be a glorious feast of music drawn from coronations through the ages, from the splendour of Handel’s coronation anthem Zadok the Priest, the emotion of Elgar’s Nimrod, to the rousing spirit of Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance No 1. The concert will include some of the magnificent music heard by the Queen at her coronation on 2nd June 1953.

Many parish and town councils in and around Milton Keynes are organising a Big Jubilee Lunch on June 5th. We think the concert would be a wonderful way to round off the celebrations.

We would be very grateful if you could share the news about the concert in any way possible, to maximise the funds we can raise for Willen Hospice. A poster and image for online use are attached. If you would like one or more printed posters to display, please let me know.
